Hi,

I plan to swap one MFOS VCO modified into LFO (not very satisfying…) by Yves Usson VC-LFO, which features a sync option.

A friend build it and it is great ; it’s been a long time we were seeking for a VC version of LFO around here…

But I have to admit there is something i’m about to regret.
My version of MFOS LFO has a optional switch which affects FM CV input response (LINEAR or EXPONENTIAL)…which is far from optional indeed.

Do you think it would be possible to implement linear control over this design ?

Sticking a BC547 npn transistor ?

Cheers

No replacing the PNP by a NPN would not work.
If you want a linear control the circuit needs a complete redesign. The way to do it would be to disconnect the emiter pin from the positive power rail,
insert a resitor in between, removing R7, disconnecting R5 from the output of the OPA and connecting R5 to the emitter and recalculate all the resistor values, you would have to redesign a complete PCB for it...
