Subject description: bcr beats project announcement

bcr beats is a beat slicer modelled on the BCR 2000 interface, meaning lots of knobs and a bunch of buttons.
It lets you cut a stereo audio sample into slices, with contols for volume, stereo pan, sample rate and length for each slice. The slices can be played with your computer or attached MIDI keyboard, looped and triggered in different ways.
The software integrates with a Behringer BCR2000 if one is connected - it can send sysex commands to reconfigure the device and performs full two-way synchronisation.
And it's free.

Thanks - let me know how you get on!
Meanwhile here's a screenshot for the image hungry.
Each column of knobs/buttons represents a slice, the first two rows of knobs sets the slice start and end position. Then there are controls for volume, stereo pan and sample rate for each slice.
The program accepts MIDI in to trigger slice playback and loops, sync etc.
If you have ideas for improvements let me know!

I've got a new piece of software out, also based on the BCR2000 interface.
It's a quantum harmonic oscillator softsynth. I don't think that's been done before.
You can find it in the same place as the beat slicer:
