the PCB design is already released to the manufacturer for production. they will arrive in approx. two weeks. i will then populate and test a board (i won't want to take money for a board that doesn't work). when everything is okay i will send a PM to everyone who ever placed an advance order containing all necessary information for payment.

PCBs are tested and work fine.
found one minor error on the silkscreen though: C10 oriantation is swapped. positive should be towards the upper side of PCB. Documentation updated (be sure to have latest file before building):

Hi, I've watched this thread with interest as I've already got a 2044 project board from an AH DIY'er... I was wondering if you folks would consider doing the Roland IR3R05 next, as it's very common, at least in regards to synths you can pull it from, and has that Roland sound (the IR3109 being the "SSM 2040" to the IR3R05's "SSM 2044").

It may not be too hard to dig up broken Junos and MKSs, and I think that the HS60 has them as well.

It's just that people are starting to realize that they can have six to eight individual filter modules with classic tonality, just by cannibalizing a less-interesting-than-modular keyboard. And once you've started to play with multiple filters, you understand how extremely intereresting such things can be...

I've got six of them just waiting for a PCB Very Happy

Anyway, cheers on making the 2044 useful again!

so the IR3109 would be a multi-mode filter then? wouldn't that be the more interesting? i do not tend to see pcb's for these as much as i do the others...

i sure wish i had some 2040's with a nice pcb design Very Happy

Don't get me wrong. I've also got an IR3109 stashed for just such an emergency. Anything for either would be nice.

And tomorrow I'm posting a schemo of a Roland product using an IR3109 in a phaser circuit. Darn good phaser too.
