Great movie, Carlo. Thanks for pointing this out.
Carlo, you use this, don't you?
Do they give you Mac and PC software and allow you to use it on either platform? |

Live 3 is the real-time audio production solution that eliminates the
boundaries between composition, performance, recording and sound
design.
Combine loops, phrases, complete songs and audio recordings of any tempo in a single Live Set.
Experiment with sound files in the uniquely interactive and nonlinear Session View.
Capture every detail of your nonlinear experiments as a linear arrangement that can be edited to perfection in the Arrangement View.
Modify grooves and correct timing using Warp Markers.
Modulate pitch, timing, volume and effect parameters for individual notes or parts of a sound file using Clip Envelopes.
Use any of the 17 acclaimed built-in effects and have access to endless expansion via VST Plug-in support.
Gain unprecedented real-time control by assigning all mixer, transport and effects parameters to computer keys and MIDI.
Record multi-track audio at 24-bit/192kHz.
Freely experiment and try new ideas with Live's non-destructive editing and sample manipulation, including unlimited Undo/Redo.
Run Live in Mac OS 9, Mac OS X or Windows.
Seamlessly integrate Live with your favorite ReWire-compatible applications as either a ReWire master or slave. _________________ homepage - blog - forum - youtube

well..it's very a loop based application but that does not mean you can not play experimental music with it. It has a very creative approach to electronic music, especially for LIVE (as the name appropriately implies) applications.
It's a way cool piece of software _________________ homepage - blog - forum - youtube

How does it handle midi? Can you do midi loops? Can you play loops, midi and audio, backwards?
Way cool is probably true, but not very descriptive.
And welcome to the electro-music.com forum, Blanomus. Glad to have you here. |

it's not a midi sequencer, you do not record midi note events, you use midi to control audio sequences. _________________ homepage - blog - forum - youtube

Oke thanks. I'll better stick to Cubase SX in combination with sample players or a (sw)sampler than. |

I got limited version of Live with my Firewire 410 interface. I just checked it out some more some days ago.. and it can be used for pretty spaced out stuff.. great for performances. This one should be very useful for experimental live music. _________________ A Charity Pantomime in aid of Paranoid Schizophrenics descended into chaos yesterday when someone shouted, "He's behind you!"

Reason to Live
The nice people at Ableton have been kind enough to send us a pdf of their "tips and tricks" series that covers using Reason and Live together. Get it here. _________________ homepage - blog - forum - youtube
