Ion importing Micron patches? |
|
|
Hello, I am completely new to this forum - I've been reading it for a week and have discovered that there is a lot that I can learn here. Awesome.
Well, I have a question - probably an obvious one. The Ion and Micron have the same engine, and I always hear that the Micron is able to import Ion patches no problem...but before I make the jump from the Micron to Ion, I want to make totally sure that it goes the other way too...does the Ion import Micron patches?
Not sure if there's something I'm missing in all the searches I've done!
Thanks and glad to be here!

Nicolas,
Not knowing the synths I have no real idea if this patch sharing is possible, but after a quick search I found a manual suggesting it is, see page 109 (actually 111) in http://www.alesis.com/downloads/manuals/Micron_Manual.pdf (or search for sharing using CTRL+F in the PDF viewer). As this is Alesis info it might just be true _________________ Jan

This is possible, but the message volume maybe would not justify splitting the Alesis section up. What do you think looking at it from that side? _________________ Jan

same discussion has been at the yahoo andromeda/ion groupside.
it's just two absolute different synth's with different usergroups a bit like mixing nordleadmodular users with all other instruments made by nordlead.
maybe a combination of polyevolver or analogue synth's like the voyager would be more of hand , however i think just letting this site for the a6-andromeda for me would be preferable |

Ok, I moved this to the general discussion, we'll see what happens re. micro / ion traffic. _________________ Jan
