Very nice sounds - the beginning is spectacular
When the 4/4 conventional drum came in (and the base) you lost me. Just my opinion, of course. _________________ --Howard

Thanks Mosc, it was meant to be a very "theme-based" song. I think that middl part you are talking about will need better mixing, I feel the 4/4 signature of those drums is a little too much, too fast now that you point it out. I am glad you liked it, I didn't expect it to be commented on so soon. _________________ Check out my latest projects here:

It's a good one that could easily be a great one. That chanting should is very arresting and evocative. The mix with the other sounds is very dramatic and interesting. Even the piano seems to fit, but the drums just seemed out of place.
But consider that I'm an old timer. _________________ --Howard

I think this is beautiful, the drums coming in for me create a sort of a contrast between an inner and an outer world. _________________ Jan

Must be because you are so young.
Seriously, this is why one must take criticism (even constructive) with a bit of salt. Everyone responds differently, and differently at different times. _________________ --Howard

Thanks for all the comments. This one was very experimental and I was antsy to hear what people thought about it.
Mosc: Constructive or Deconstructive criticism, I respond well to either and I like to hear what people say about or take away. I believe what you said about the transition is partially true. Nothing that can't be fixed by some better mixing on my part...maybe a better fade and good lead in.
Sometimes it is hard to mix good solid beats with more soft, pad-like instruments and acoustic one like the piano. I love the combination though so I will keep going until I get it right.
Thanks again. _________________ Check out my latest projects here:
