Hello,

My G2 Keyboard no longer has a functional "out 4". It just stopped working for no reason, and i haven't heard back from Clavia Support yet. Does anyone know of any service centers in the US? I was right in the middle of recording a song that requires all 4 outputs, so I am now in a bind.

Thanks in advance,

-Tim

Good luck with those guys.

They've never returned my emails or phone call.

I'm so stupid... Once i figured out how much a repair would be, I doubled checked "out 4", and of course it works fine. It was just a messed up cable LOL.

Thanks for the help.

I think I may have killed one of the channels on the Headphone jack, by accidentally plugging a signal into it, instead of the jack next to it.
Too bad that the headphone jack isn't located far away from the inputs.

Does anyone have a good closeup picture of the circuit board near the headphone jack- or know what kind of amplifier IC is used for the headphone out?

If it's a garden variety chip I may just try scoping the output on the chip itself to see if there is a signal there, and replacing it myself.

(now where did I leave my reading glasses?)

Well, as long as you can compute without reading glasses at least you won't need the glasses to find the glasses Laughing

Has anyone here actually talked to or have gotten responses from Nordusa?

Ahhh yes- The computer will tell me when I've done something wrong.

The G2 (and most audio devices) won't tell me that I've shorted out an output Sad

(until I plug in headphones the next time)

I dropped my nord lead 2x and snapped off a key just before the electro-music 07 event .
I e-mailed Jason aka Synthlord at the Clavia us site with an explanation and he sent me a new key no charge .

I sent a note to NordUSA when my G2X arrived with a dead keyboard and received a reply very quickly regarding a new keyboard. I took the instrument apart and figured out a repair but I was impressed with the quick response.

...i also have had very good service from nordusa. i had a problem with an engine...but it worked for the tech at nordusa. they were very communicative, and willing to listen to my concerns (left it on for several days...tried to make it fail by flexing the board, etc).
