Though - with having gotten 3 Tektronix scopes last week for free, it has grown as I do have to work on getting both of the 465's up and running. Smile

On that note again: If anyone is looking for a perfectly working antique (??) Tektronix 647A scope, lemme know. Smile

It's something I envy those guys in NYC for, there are enough people to get together and work on stuff in the company of people who also understand and want to get stuff done. Plus equipment can be shared, maybe parts exchanged. I might fork this idea into a new thread.

Well, my kid has run out of Velleman kits to build, and his soldering technique is looking pretty good now. So I went through the parts list on my two SN Super Controller boards and kitted the resistors and capacitors. Hopefully he'll be as careful building these as his little kits. This is a lot more advanced, and doesn't have the instant gratification that the little kits have.

But it might help my backlog a bit!

I think that the idea of this thread is great. Piling them all up together like this is embarrassing. I was doing so well keeping the backlog manageable . . . for a while. I knew that I would not get around to building up several of these any time soon, but I did not want to miss out on the various runs of PCBs. I have already sourced the parts for some of them though and have no excuse. My big plan to double the size of my modular’s cabinet was met with a stern grimace from the wife however. I will have to let her warm up to that idea for a while first.

Well, I got the Oakley VCOs all wired up behind the panel, and fully calibrated, and they work great, I'm very impressed with them, I've been caning them all night, and they have a real strong, musical sound, and track through the octaves very well. I would say that they are the most euphonic-sounding VCOs I have.

The Little lag I got wired up and completed a week or two ago, and that's a handy little thing as well. good to put an envelope through it and extend the attack and decay/release times, that works pretty well.

The DB-120 and MOTM-120 I got all joined together nicely, and the panel is bolted into one of my 2 Cynthia sixpacs. The additional features on the DB120 are not totally essential TBH, the MOTM-120 is a great module all on its own, but it's all a bit of extra fun, and the staircase wave is a pretty cool CV source.

I have a Cat-girl sequencer panel and a panel for 2 of Fonik's mixer-attenuverters all ready to order, I'll order them on Tuesday, so that'll be 2 pieces more nearly finished.

OTOH, I have the JH freq-shifter here, a set of boards for a Buchla 281 clone and a pair of Fonik triple resonators too, so I never ever learn, do I.

My backlog is now up to 22 modules. I seem to be going the wrong way... Sad

However I managed to pick up some sheet metal and cut some panels out, which has been the problem. I picked up 4 AM3030 VCOs, minus front panels, and quickly figured out these are not gonna be Frac-able. So I cut out some Dotcom sized panels for them and prototyped up a panel layout.

I also cut out 4 more double wide Frac panels, so I can get the T/G/T/S/H, one of the SSM2044 filters, an Attenuverter and my Yusson mixer into Frac format. That'll fill out the Frac for now, I guess I'm going to be multi-formatted Cool

Edit: got the panel done, just a small matter of wiring it and figuring out how to mount this board that wants a special mount.
