I am looking for some circuits that are easy to understand, require only a few parts, and they dont necessarily need to have voltage control.

the only thing i found was in an old radio shack manual.

any help appreciated.

I found this by googling "transistor based oscillator" --

i noticed that alot of the transitor oscillators i found by googling required inductor coils to work. Now i have a few little gold coils that have one in and one out but some of the schematics that have L for inductor, seem to have a top, a bottom, and a middle. I have taken some little coil things with a screw at the top (presumably for changing the length of the coil??) but these things have six prongs on the bottom and i am not sure how they are set up.

inductors are for me one of the great mystery's of electronics, as they arent called for at all in 99 percent of the schematics i have made.

anyway, thanks for the link.
