I would have put this in one of the equipment forums, but there doesn't seem to be a general forum over there.. so I'll put it here.

A friend found this today, I thought it might be a useful and cheap tool for some of us.

http://floridamusicco.com/playplanet.htm

It's a little baby, $20 midi keyboard for PC's that plugs into the gameport.

I'm thinking of picking one of these up for when I'm working on sample sets. Instead of reaching around and playing the layout on the controler, I can put this little thing over my qwerty keyboard and "ploink" away.

It's cheap and I'm sure has a vast number of limitations, but hey. It's only 20 bucks for a basic midi interface.

I thought it was a find worth sharing.

Yes, there are uses for this kind of cheap keyboard.

I moved this from Schmooze to Gear News.

I lost my small Yamaha keyboard (well, didn't even have midi and some keys weren't working) when my apartment was broken into last January, so I checked out the link. The price has been upped to $39.95. Too bad, $20 seems like a great deal.

Yes, very deceptive. On the ad for the keyboard, the price is indicated at 19.95, but when you click on the "buy" button, it changes to 39.95.
