Well i was really going to start to get serious about building a modular .
today i was going to get a good start on buying components ect..
i finely decided on 3.5mm sockets 15v+/- power supply iv been going back and fourth on this part for a long time
anyway i spent all day filling in my order was just so close and then it was gone the shopping cart was some how wiped out bad day
but now i can deal with some helpful advice
with the 3.5mm sockets i don't know if i should get Open or enclosed sockets and if any one has seen them for less then .50c
as always all help is vary much so appreciated
Thanks

yes shopping parts is a nightmare........
The only sockets i know which are cheap and useful are the Kobiconn 16PJ135 ( = Mouser partnumber )
I was told somewhere that wiard use this ones.
they are not bad to patch
( 0.27$ or less )
they are cool to solder ! |

I made an excel spreadsheet of the components required for many of the MFOS PCB's. I can send it to you if you are interested. It makes shopping easier as all you have to do is delete the columns for the PCBs you don't want then add up the rows and it tells you how many of each component you need. |

If you're prepared to order the sockets from the UK, you can get them from www.rapidonline.com - part No. 20-0135.
They work out at 12 cents each if you buy bulk (pack of 100 - believe me, you'll need them).
My modular is made almost entirely from MFOS PCB's - still working on it, but almost completed. The 24dB filter is nice, as are the VC LFO's. _________________ Kronos 2-88, Kronos 61, Studiologic Sledge V2/SL, Broadwave ARP 2600EX, Broadwave 18U ARP based Eurorack Modular, Broadwave Minimoog Clone, GEM S2 Turbo.
