Hello! My name is Jord and professionally I am a one man band. For the past two years I've been playing with entirely acoustic set ups and am now bringing the one man band into the twenty first century. I'm here because I need your help to do it!

Here's a fan video from Venice Beach CA of the first band I ever put together:

A little bit about the contraption I am currently building- If all goes right I'll be able to play every part of nearly every song you hear on the radio today completely live, no loops. I will still do some covers but I'm intending this one for my own music (never felt comfortable botching my own songs on any of my current bands, hehehe). I'll be running four keyboards, guitar, bass, full set of drums, plus drum triggers for electric stuff and samples, a few instruments I've built myself, and multiple mics for various vocal applications. Please don't ask me how! I've tried explaining my current bands to people (which aren't nearly as complex) and people just don't get it till they see it! I will def post vids for you all when it's finished. Basically my goal is to make this one as efficient and versatile as possible (and sound real good too).

I will keep this up to date to let everyone know where I'm going with it as I'm building and will always appreciate any advice, ideas, and criticism good or bad. Knowledge is power! I've already learned so much just from searching the forums. YOU GUYS KICK ASS. Thank you! elektro80 has already saved my butt once (thanks dude) Can't wait to hear your ideas.

jp

P.S. I am going to be asking A LOT of questions over the next nine months. Thanks in advance! I'm sure some of you will be on my Christmas list.

Crikey, if you can do that, I want to know how. That kind of human engineering is valuable.

welcome anyway!

What exactly qualifies a person to be a "squid"? and I don't mean the thing with tentacles... I think.

welcome

I admire what you are doing. I'll tell you one thing; if I was walking down the beach and saw you playing like that I certainly wouldn't ignore you and just keep walking by. Seeing that just blows my mind.

BTW, that's one of my favorite songs.

Please keep us up to date on what you are up to.
