Hi all, I am one of the many unfortunates for whom the Clavia editor will not recognise that my modular 'G1' is connected to it.

Nomad will recognise the modular correctly, and it mostly works. Hooray, at last I can use my modular! Huge thanks from me to the developers.

However there are two things I cannot seem to do in Nomad: I can't delete unwanted modules from a patch once they have been added, and I can't set the name of the patch. Currently I am creating a patch in Nomad, then saving it and reopening the patch in the Clavia editor to clean-up unused modules and set the patch name. Then I re-save and re-open in Nomad to send the patch to the synth. Functional, but cumbersome!

I am running win XP SP2, and using an Evolution X-session USB for MIDI. For some reason this works better than my RME Multiface for midi I/O to the modular.

Thanks for any help you can offer!

-Amos

Hello Amos,

Normally you just make a right click on the module and then select delete in the pop up menu. You can also select several modules and then delete them with the same procedure.

Ok it seems it's a bug that appears under windows. The pop up menu does appear under linux.

I just tested the new version of nomad under windows and the pop up menu works. We are close to the a new release, but we need some more time or help... So, please, be patient Wink

Hi julien, and thank you!
I am glad to know that a fix is on the way, and happy to wait patiently.
I would love to help, but in programming I am only a student.

If it is helpful to know this, on windows XP when one edits the name of a patch in Nomad, the changed name appears in Nomad but is not transmitted to the Nord Modular when downloading a patch to the modular.

When I open a patch (created in Nomad) in the Clavia editor, set the patch name and then save the patch, the changed name is transmitted to the modular when I re-open the patch within Nomad and download to the modular. Perhaps it is possible to look closely at the difference between these two actions to see what is going wrong in Nomad.

kind regards,

Amos
