i didnt understand your last paragraph randaleem....do you mean the copper writing could come off? what is TH?

i didnt think i would solder anything on to the panel, just using it purely as a hunk of material to mount knobs and jacks and switches on.

i suppose now that i am getting stuff done pcb wise, i need to really start making sure my panels are caught up with my production!!!

I have been looking at the efm pcbs but have heard alot of them dont work right off the bat from the schematic does anyone know if this true for the 4600 series?

I have built the EFM 4614 VCO, and the 4621 VCF, the VCO just does'nt work, won't track to 1v/oct. and the VCF is stalled because the schematic values do not line up with the silkscreen components on the PCB. I probably can fix both with a lot of time, but they are both on the shelf for now. IMHO EFM products are very poor, stay away.

My very first ever working discrete VCO, was my own PCB layout of Tom's VCO 4D. (Error correcting help from wonderful people at the synth-DIY list, in late 2005.)

With more error correcting on my own, I was able to bring her up to steady tuning at 1V/Oct. over about 4 or 5 octaves.

At that time, I'd been reading all of the bad EFM news and decided to never order anything from him. (Been happy as heck ever since with Ken Stone's; Ray Wilson's and my own stuff. Smile )
