And in case you were wondering, the Google translation of the page is actually quite good! Wink

Would HEIGHT be the resonance of the filter (WIDTH?) or the gain?

Yes it's a gain control. You may chain any number of these.

Yes there is a double gang pot with different values, but this can be created by using two dual gang pots one of 2x50KLOG and the other of 2x500KLIN. Then one must dismantle/disassemble the dual pots and remount them crossing the values in order to give a dual 50KLOG/500KLIN and a dual 500KLIN/50KLOG

The datasheet for these pots indicate that they are modular & stackable.

http://www.piher-nacesa.com/pdf/20-PC16v03.pdf

I'll try to find out more about what's involved in customizing your own pairs.

is there anything worser than the Radiohms from reichelt ? can't belive Wink

lets say each person must take 20 pots, then it would take 50 people to get to a number of thousand.
is 1000 not the break to get your own pots manufactured ?
What i remember from a call with banzai this is.
sounds not impossible to me to get to this number

hmm, but this is the haible thread.in respect we should change to a own one.
Finally i'm not in hurry. next winter is a good time for me for a EQ.

the idea to get pots manufactured might also be from sense for Jürgens project btw. ( if thats a need )

I did not know that Piher had such a bad reputation. I can't say that I've used their pots before. I was interested because they claim the pots are modular, but it looks like that modularization is not in the end user's hands, but at the factory.

Ultimately, it might make sense to wait for Juergen to publish his version. It proabably won't require custom pots.

the problem with those black plastic pihers ,is that when they crash u cannot spray them properly,u are beter then with radio ohm or the metal carbon pihers because these u can spray.

also for an starter in diy the plastic pihers are not recommended,if u warm the lugs to long it fucktup the track of the pot,i know it because i did use these when i started with diy Laughing

the fun part is that iv seen those metal pihers offered sometimes at higher price as a quality pot

The Radiohm's from Reichelt are bad, but the Piher PC16 are abysmal. I think there wasn't a single one that didn't turn scratchi within 6 months, when I tried them. (That was many years ago, admittetly, but then I was burnt for life.)
