Calendar Event: July 3, 2004 - July 5, 2004

This from Wout via email...

The Event will take place on Saturday 3rd, Sunday 4th and Monday 5th of July 2004. The main themes of this year’s Event will be electronic music, the electronic studio and modular synthesizers.

The program for Saturday 3rd of July in the Aula of the Gemeentemuseum includes three items. The first will be on the development of the electronic studio in the fifties and sixties, including a presentation of works made in the Philips Natlab studio around 1960. Next is a presentation of the current state of the art in modular synthesizers presented by the Swedish company Clavia DMI. The program will be concluded by a group of composers presenting and commenting on their current electronic music works. Language will be English.

On the program for Sunday 4th of July is a meeting of synthesizer users. The meeting takes place in the Aula of the Museon, located next to the Gemeentemuseum. You are free to bring in any gear you like. The Gemeentemuseum will make a contribution to this event by presenting a selection from the collection of analog modular synthesizers.

The program for Monday 5th of July is a musical workshop held in a location at the beach. Participants in this workshop will join in making a live electronic musical performance.

Thanks to our sponsors all events are free of admission. To participate in the Monday workshop you will need to notify the organization in advance.

Yes, this was a total blast. I had a great time. I met so many great people, saw some great talks, great art, great synthesizers, and heard and made some great music.

I'm going to get my pictures up sometime tomorrow. I just got home today and I'm forcing myself to stay awake to try to get back on East Coast time. The screen is a blur...

So, welcome mono-poly. Can you identify who you are?

Thx a lot for the good feedback
It was hard our first live set
And we had a bad position behind the speakers
But it went quite good
