I think we are all good. Looks like only me and Lorraine (my wife of almost 21 years) tonight. So far everyone else is a no show. No matter, I got plenty to torture everyone with ...

The banjo was great. I wish Dong Moon was here to hear that. He has recently picked up the banjo and includes that in his sets when he preforms live now.

I'll be on and off port 8054 here and there just to make sure all is well.

I had problems getting into chat, but once in, seems ok here, winamp is playing the stream fine too ...

Well I guess the server was down when I began our set.
I did not know if I was connected or not but we sure were broadcasting.
Did anyone here me?Or do I get another chance or is there a delay/
or... or ....

Thanks, ya'll. Glad it got out there. Couldn't stream in and can't chat, but, happily I was able to connect to stream out. Called Howard's house the old fashioned way. Thanks again Howard!

Strings went out of tune during the Dark Side of the Force, but what can you expect?

. . .

Heads up, my wife says that the streaming "server is down" message is bogus. She clicked listen anyway and she could hear it . . .

Looks like Richard Lainhart is streaming OK, guess the stream error was due to the fact that Earth Girl wasn't on tonight. I missed her.

Anyway, thanks for listening, glad you liked it. I gotta go help my wife open a bottle of Champagne party time!

I'm ready to go, port 8072, for later tonight, but can't connect to chat, and am listening to the technical problems Don is having on his end (or perhaps, at the moment, NOT listening to them would be more accurate). I will keep trying. Please post here if anyone's out there.

Update for our set.
Vexillum is the name of the song. It's the last track on the Beowulf side of the double CD Beowulf and Gilgamesh.
You can hear this track on our myspace, track 1 there.
Lorraine has been talking to me about putting in some high strings in it. So tonight she is going to use her s-80 to toy with that idea.
Tommy O'Brien made it. He brought in his double pedal steel and a processor with a music man, 112 RD. It's miked with a sm58, close and a tad offset
I might need to talk a bit about how this is set up for stream tonight. I have 2 other sm58s, offset a bit from a pair of QSC HPR153's. The Yamaha S-80, Korg Extreme, FM8, SE Prophet '08 and PEK, via the mixer. Same mixer that does the close sm58s. I just use a different group for feed in for the MOTU 24i, FM8 is on the xp box that uses a Presonus firebox. Same deal I use for the MMV, Reaktor and all the softsynths now.
Effects, the main track is recorded, as you can hear it as on myspace. The synths other than s-80, using only what they come with for this. S-80 has a Boss RT-20, that Lorraine might or might not use for the Leslie effect. Tommy has his own effect for his pedal steel. I will just not say what that is for the moment unless some asks.
So what you hear, is from the mains into edcast. The bleed over from the music man, well that is for tonight only. I would not do that in the same room or along with the same set up happening as of now.
Also, Lorraine and Tommy have a mike. I claim no responsibility for any thing said. I am sure you will hear me defend myself via the other mikes if I have too.

So the plan ...
Lorraine will announce the band, who is here and a big thanks to Howard !!!! Also to everyone who was a part of this. I only got to hear a little but what I did hear, was great.
1. I will play the song thru like you hear it on myspace.
it's 7 something minutes long.
2. Next again I will play it, this time Lorraine will do some string noodles.
3. I will play it again with some of Tommy's noodles.
4. Then again with both of them.
In the second, third and forth you will hear some of me toying with further synth ideas or hi-lites.

any luck, I will not be sent any flying beer bottles, rotten fruit or other things ... Wink

Again thanks Howard and everyone for the music !
