SERAPH: ME AND THE BASS (a slap bass study) |
 |
|
the song was born while studying how to replicate a slap bass on a keyboard (actually I used 2 controllers at the same time and one of them is not a keyboard).
What could it be

Thanks Stein but I wonder where you've lived for the last 20 years. In Norway Never heard of a technique for the electric bass called "slap" _________________ homepage - blog - forum - youtube

That I know.. I loved playing slap on my old Guild electric bass guitar. I meant.. I dunno which synth thigie you played this on.
I found this on the web. Same bass. A Guild B-301
A friend of mine sold Guild guitars back in the late 70s. _________________ A Charity Pantomime in aid of Paranoid Schizophrenics descended into chaos yesterday when someone shouted, "He's behind you!"

This way, I think, I was able to get more percussive rhythmic patterns but, of course, without a nice bass sound provided by my Roland JV2080 this tecnique would be much less effective _________________ homepage - blog - forum - youtube

it reminds me of the bass playing style of Marcus Miller (if I may suggest a comparison ) _________________ homepage - blog - forum - youtube
