best way to spot these, is the glitzy interface. It looks more Vista than Mac. Idea

That will change.

Quicktime and Itunes use a Mac style interface on Windows as well, BTW so you can't really say not following interface guidelines is a sign of mallware... Well, ok QT is hard (almost impossible) to get out of your system and keeps phoning home so there may be some truth to the concept Wink

Sure or Zone-Alarm on Windows.

Anyway, it's always best to only install software from trusted sources and mind your browser's script settings as well as your fire-wall. I think that's a better policy then basing judgement on the style of the interface of what you see in screenshots.

There are -after all- good programs that completely ignore OS interface guidlines, nearly all games, for example.
