Subject description: netout and netin ugens

Browsing around the documentation pages, I found netout and netin. They have no links to them from the ugens page, but if you go to LiSa then scroll down you will find them. Might we set up a ChucK jamming session by ChucKing up a simple network file? What about the settings, how can we do this properly, if at all?

Also, we have facilities to connect to a external VM and send it commands. Should be in the OTF commands.

There are some security implications to that though. Ge&me talked about those a while ago and I would expect to see a update there.

Anyway, I think a lot more could be done there, maybe even with (mini) Audicle integration for realtime collaborative editing. One issue though is fire-walls.... I know I'm behind one....

The firewall on my Mac allows me to specify individual ports to be opened and closed using the System Preferences. But that's not enough, we would have to know each other's IP addresses, plus set up separate transmits for every destination if I understand it right, and that's not good. Perhaps Ge has some way to mask that from the user somehow?
