Now that I have replaced the bad pitch stick with a new one .
It was good for a while and now I am experiencing what was described in this post. see:

http://www.electro-music.com/forum/topic-16180.html

This was not happening before. Only pitch instability
I figure the replacement stick was also delaminated and have requested an exchange.
Fingers crossed.

dang

Did your replacement stick look the same as the old one? One of the things I noticed when mine was replaced, was the new stick was a different colour and shape to the old one.

From memory, my symptoms changed over time. Initially, bending up was ok but the down direction jumped in pitch, later up failed as well and I think both got worse over time.

My replacement has been going without a hitch for nearly three years now.

Yes this color of the new stick is lighter.
but the shape remains the same.
Should the lamination cover the entire area on the resistors ?
I noticed that on the new stick it looked not much different than the old.
(Laminate not covering entire surface area of resistors)
hard to describe with out seeing it.
maybe a mix up with the part that I was shipped.
This must be resolved .
I cannot deal with a retarded modular.
Three years without a hitch for you .1 year and two hitchy sticks for me.
Lets hope the third is the charm
