Why was my first post & account deleted yesterday?

Hi There. I wonder if any mods could answer this for me

I signed up yesterday under the username c-came
Then I asked a simple question in the chuck forum about whether or not something would run on windows2000.

Tried to log into today. My account was deleted along with my post?

What happened?

PS: I posted this question somewhere else but this looks like the most appropriate place to find out.

That's quite weird.

I couldn't answer as I never ran 2K but that was a very valid post and a good question. That one shouldn't have been deleted.

Right now (until we hear more about it) I would suspect you were a victim of the flood of spammers that join this forum. You see, we get a LOT of spammers and spam and some people (Elektro80 and BlueHell particularly but Mosc as well) are in charge of deleting those, creating new filters, etc. This is extremely boring and monotonous work and considering the type of thing often advertised I can tell you that when doing this you often WISH you lost your attention every now and then... Of course with a job like that every once in a while mistakes do slip by. This is still very bad and no excuse but it's understandable, at least to me; I did it on a different forum for a long time.

So; until we know more about that exactly happened; as the ChucK-moderator I'd like to represent EM in apologising to you that this had to happen. I assure you it's quite rare already and every attempt is being made to avoid things like this in the future.

I hope you will still feel welcome and won't hold this against us.
