Hello all,

I was wondering if anyone has any experience using effects pedals with a synthesizer. I just recently bought a microKorg (my first synth) (heck, my first ANYTHING other than a Bass) and was considering getting a "Big Muff" distortion pedal and some sort of wah-wah pedal.

I know they are primarily for guitar, but would they work with my microKorg as well? Would they plug up the same way: mK->pedal->amp?

Also, I'm using a cheap Peavey keyboard amp. A Peavey KB1.

Thanks in advance,
-Pizmeyre

There's no reason why you shouldn't use guitar pedals. Yes, that would be the way to hook it up.

the micro has an expression pedal input, and a filter, so it already has the wah built in. If you don't know how to setup the synth to do this type of thing, it could be a good exercise, since you know exactly what it is your looking for & trying to do. I think the micro has some distortion/overdrive too, don't remember off hand.

I have been using a Line6 echo pedal with a keyboard, sounds awesome, i also experimented with a tremolo effect, but i havent had time to test it properly yet.
