Los Angeles Film Session: Bass Trumpet

LAFS: Bass Trumpet is the first instrument in our upcoming LAFS brass collection. Like all Artificial Ear products, the LAFS: Bass Trumpet library is built from the ground up for your NN-XT sampler.

LAFS: Bass Trumpet has over ---- samples thoroughly programmed in over ---- NN-XT patches. The articulation list is extremely deep, ranging from sustained notes to staccato notes to different lengths of marcato notes. Most of the articulations have 3-4 velocity layers, and many patches have been programmed with alternate notes to add even more realism to your midi performance.

The library also contains many performance elements like arpeggios, intervals, and patterns, and, of course, half-step and whole step trills are included. The effects section is quite the treat for those looking for something wildly different or film composers looking to add a unique touch.

Wow - I've never played a "bass trumpet". Humorous typo (the album cover on the shot shows "brass"...) - funny part is they appeared to be consistent throughout the press release.

Is there such a thing as a bass trumpet? I've never heard of one.

Wow - ok - I stand corrected. Even though I've played trumpet for some stupid number of years, I guess I never really researched all the different kinds. Then again, I've been happy with the student model trumpet my parents bought me in 5th grade and never really thought about getting a better one.

The "brass" comment - I thought they just completely did a type in the press release info - since the cover says "brass trumpet". Typically they are brass - although you'll see many that are silver.

Usually, silver ones are made of brass and plated with silver.
