New boolean logic module at YUSYNTH |
|
|
Hi all
I am announcing a new YUSYNTH module. It's the LOGICAL module, nothing really innovative but a very handy module.
This module provides four logical operators, two AND operators that can be combined to give a three inputs AND operator, one logical OR operator and a logical NOT operator.
Note that the circuit accepts non logical signals at the inputs (these are converted to logical levels by internal Schmitt triggers), therefore they can be fed with traingle or sawtooth signal as well or even noise !
Check it at :

((Warning! 1/2 awake rambling on and on and on from me, continues below! ))
Ooo! Very cool to see the schematic for it posted AND that it's all done discretely! That gives partial answers to my years long curiosity at doing it properly, with trannies!
(I had tried that myself, in 2001, when I built a MODULAR version of my Deathlehem Machine ......
( Schematic of my very 1st version from 1986, is posted at this webpage http://www.damian.deathlehem.com/schematic.html . There's a link to my 30 minute long noise composition, made with that 'synth' there, as well.)
...... discretely. 8 (cough cough) 'voices'; NAND gates and a bit more logic. Even the speed pots (coarse and fine) were modular as well. I miss that machine. (Scrapped for parts, last year.)
Any rate - and cool to see the listing of the 5.1V zener diode as well! It just so happens, I lucked into at LEAST 5,000 of them (1N5231) in 2 boxes of junk, from work last night! Woohoo! I've been wanting that value of zener for a few years now and never bought any. Now - I'll never have to again! |
