Hi guys,

I'm a classic Nord Modular (key) owner, and I'm considering a G2X.

About the USB MIDI connection, is it possible to use it for the editor AND for performance (e.g. MIDI notes) at the same time? Or, do I need an extra MIDI interface to steer the patch with notes from a MIDI sequencer (Ableton's Live 4 in my case).

Cheers,
JJupiter

No, you can't use the usb for midi (or audio, or anything except the proprietary G2 to editor communication).

Bummer, especially as the USB bandwith would easily allow for it.

But thanx for the info!

welcome JJupiter. Nice avatar...

The G2X will be a tremendous upgrade from the NM for you. If you like patching, then I think it's a no brainer. The G2 sounds quite a bit better too.
