A family shot of YUSYNTH modules |
|
|
As I am currently dyeing and varnishing the 66U cabinet of my YUSYNTH DIYed modular I had to move out all the modules and lay them on temporary place.
I realized then that it was a good opportunity to take a photo to show the guts of the beast.

This is truly stunning design and craftsmanship, and I know first hand how well your circuits function. I've built your Arp VCF and Pulse Delay, and am very pleased with both.
Congratulations on this beautiful cabinet--but I hope that this isn't the end of your DIY designing! |

Hopefully, this is not the end, I think of other modules to add and I have another 22U cabinet to fill in
Besides the modular I have other DIY projects to keep me busy, an additive analogue synthesizer, an CV/GATE polyphonic keyboard controler (8 channels), finishing my XVCS3 project (an extended clone of the VCS3)... and some other stuff. _________________ Yves |

Very Nice! How do you like moving that thing around? I'm planning on building a 15U x 24U cabinet, but I'm afraid I wouldn't be able to lift it. _________________ " I went through quite a few trannies til I found one I liked" - Wild Zebra |

A 66U cabinet is the maximum size that still can be moved around but it's quite heavy already. But this one is not meant to often move around. _________________ Yves |

OK here is a follow-up.
Now the dyeing and varnishing is completed and the system under test.
Here is a photo of the system and a small sound snippet (patch shown on the photo, one take no overdub, external COTK C960 sequencer).
The sound file

PLEASE tell me more about the poly kbd controller, it´s exactly what I´m looking for! I couldn´t find anything on your homepage... |

Well the CV/GATE polyphonic keyboard controller is still a project, I am at the stage of designing the electronics. Once done with the electronics I will have to deal with the programming (this circuit will use a microcontroller to handle all the options)... I don't expect having it working until the end of the year. _________________ Yves |

I have no problem waiting, the end of the year is fine by me. Looking forward to it. One question though - does MIDI come in to the picture as well (MIDI in or out or maybe both?) or is it just a keyboard controller? |

No MIDI, it'll be a CV/GATE controller. _________________ Yves |

That is great!
And do you already know what keyboard will you use for this project?
Something commercially available or something diy? |

Well in a first stage I will use the keyboard from a dead MIDI controller I have stored for this. Next I will use Fatar keyboards that I will purchase from doepfer _________________ Yves |
