CGS62 - Slope Detector

http://www.cgs.synth.net/modules/cgs62_sd.html

What a cool module, but I wonder if packing two units is optional ; running in parallel Quadrature /threePhase LFOs, or two AD envelope generators...
Such a small design !

Oh, yes, maybe i'd rather learn how to use my gate comp Smile

What do you like to feed in? What do you like to trigger with it?

Steady!

I've been meaning to build one of these. I imagine it would be handy for combining envelopes into something more complicated.

I use it to trigger all sorts of things (eg's, clock's, vca's, gated lfo's etc)... I definitely don't have a standard usage for it.....

The signal I activate it with changes alot but one common way I use it is if I have a sequencer clock running from an lfo I will feed another wave from the same lfo it the cv standards....

okay, can't omit the pot, so i'd only take a couple (space saving)...

But you omit the mysterious RANGE switch after the pot ?

hey

i wonder if someone could help me with this..

i built it. all the parts are in right places. i put it on and connect a cable from lfo out or what ever to cv in, nothing happens, no lights.. then i put a cable from any of the outputs to adsr trig input, nothing. BUT, if i just touch the adsr trig input connector with the tip of the cable coming from the slope detector output(any) it seems to work.. according to the leds atleast.. what is wrong ? im 100% sure everything is wired exactly as in the wiring diagram.. ive checked it many many times..

thanks..

what transistors did you use?
sounds like a problem with them....or grounding (lack of)?

Good way to start troubleshooting is to check the emitters of each transistor (the ones with the arrow mark) are all getting +15V (or + 12V), also check the TL072 has +/-V on pins 4 & 8.
