Analogue and Digital Audio Workstation DIY ergonomic desk.
Hello.
The idea was to have a very good interface, ergonomic, intuitive, directly, a desk that invites to play.
All the interface inside the triangle within the monitors and the performer.
A place for play with the sound: treatment, synthesis, mixing, recording... digital and analogue. All integrated in the same desk.
I achieved 56 U of rack All is very confortable. The next step is infill it.

Under the desk there are two power one, one is the HCBB-75W that gives +12/15 -12/15 and +5 and the other is the HBB15 that gives +12/15 and -12/15.
Although that finally I have dicided run the main of my modular under 15V ( so I will modify your filter again ) I will have the option of have some modules under 12V, as well if I ocasionally need +5
Here are some pictures about how I build the desk. It' s very simple and easy. The goal are the side woods.

Amazing work! I love the horizontal control surface, but where does the 88 key weighted midi controller go? _________________ " I went through quite a few trannies til I found one I liked" - Wild Zebra |

Hi neandrewthal!
I have not decided still wich keyboard controller i will put in. Of course it will not be a 88 weighted midi controler. Im not a keyboardist.
One with 49 keys will be enough for me, It will be placed under the table with its own stand. The table is a 80 cm height and there is 18 cm in depth.
Also there is the posibility to put the keyboard perpendicular to the table.
There was some measures compromised, like the heigh of the monitors, the height of the screens, the depth of the desk... |

Very nice work, Sound.
It looks like you did it all with simple hand tools, too. Awesome!

yes, i like this approach. great attitude. in the past i used to say "i need this and that before i can build such". that's not necessarily true. just do it! this nice desk proves this concept.
...err... sound, just in case you will move some day, will the desk go through the front door? _________________

Thanks guys!
Fonik if I move again I can bring the desk through the balcony. Only I will need a long string due I live in a 6 floor
My first Idea (maybe 2 years ago) was a deamontable table with iron or aluminium skleton. I don't know solder so I needed a smith. And was dificult to me to draw everything exactly.
When I got the idea of the side woods, I see that I could build it myself and I had the possibility of modifing some details of the initial idea while I was building it. ej. I have tested diferent profile measures for the sidewoods.
Also with the wood option the first idea was deamountable legs. But was dificult for me found the iron angles, and I thought that with the glue and screws the desk will be more stable.
The mixer is a Fostex model 2016. Its a little noisy and I don't have control over the monitors. My plan is a better mixer with eq and with direct outputs patched "half normaled" to a 8AD 8DA converter.
And yes my idea is to have all the conectors of all the machines that have the connectors in the back panel to the frontpanel with the Patch. |

Excellent!!
Thanks for posting. Very cool integrating your modular like that.
I'm a fellow Cwejman S1Mk2 owner
One suggestion: have you thought about bussing between the right and left sides? A DIY module on each side with jacks could be normalled together behind the scenes and you'd have tie lines between both sides.
Cheers

Fantastic! Nice job!
You're DIY solution is inspirational! I've got to move outta my place within the year, and I've been consternating over what my new setup will look like. Your desk has given me many ideas!
