Looks like another new release of the Blofeld firmware is out. And I didn't get a chance to install the 1.03 yet!

Hope this is a fairly stable release.

And I hope I get some time to play my Blofeld one of these days...

Well, I *finally* got a few spare minutes to plug my Blofeld in and upload the new v1.04 firmware. I skipped right over 1.03 (1.04 came out before I ever had a chance to try 1.03!)

I haven't played any notes thru it yet, but I can say that it has indeed cured the spurious rotary encoder movement I was seeing (the release notes say "encoder crosstalk problems fixed").

Also kind of neat, the startup screen looks different now. Instead of the letters spelling "blofeld" sort of flipping onto the screen, now they look more like a waving flag, like the blofeld logo being modulated by a sine wave LFO, with decreasing frequency.

I'll have to try playing some sounds later to see about the phaser issue; I assume if they said it's fixed, it's probably fixed. Right now I'm at my work computer, so no keyboards or headphones around to plug into to see how she sounds. (Long story, but my studio computer is a bit torn apart right now, so I hooked up the blofeld to my desktop machine just so I could do a USB SysEx download).

BTW I used SysEx Librarian for Mac to download the .syx blofeld firmware file over USB, and that worked just fine.

Russ
