the module is finished and working - indeed there has been one faulty potentiometer and two LED have been reversed by the technitian
here some pix. no sounds yet, i will have to go to bed and i will have to spend the next two evenings with my girl. so sounds sample hopefully on weekend.
don't look too sharp - i really had a bad time with the panner-fader proto: all transistors were reversed and i had to resolder them all...

wow, looks great!
I would take two Panfader-PCBs. (already built a mono-version). |

Is this so Fonik? |
it is a fader and a panner at the same time. why? just because it does x-pan/x-fade: the left input is at the left output, while the right input is at the right output. then you x-fade/x-pan it until left in is at right out, and right in at right out. so the left output shows the left input first and then fades to the right input signal. looking at it the other way around the left input signal is first at the left output and then at the right output.
clear as mud: looking at two inputs but one output it is a fader, looking at one input but two outputs it is a panner. |
Thîs would be then more a kind of a Stereo Crossfader not ?
It is strange, i just was thinking in this Moment that i need such a circuit.
Me too have 2 old Resonator VCF Boards.
Can i use those or should i better get the new one ? i like to get something similar as you have built
and yup, thanks for the effort ! |

you could use the old boards, you would just have to wire the outputs of each single resonator to one input of the stereo-x-cross-panner-fader-whatever-you-call-it PCB. _________________

girl's gone to sleep, i did a very first sample with my new PS3100 DoubleTrouble. This is not for showing isolated functions, but the sound of the PS3100 DT in musical context (SN voice controlled by Klee2).
PS3100 DT setup as follows: internal LFO controls 1st and 3rd Resonator, 3rd Resonators CV inverted. internal LFO controls pan, too.
Klee2 CV controls the SN Voice (fed to harmonic suboscillator). one Klee2 gate controls x-pan of PS3100 DT, other Klee2 gate controls 2nd Resonators freq.
First you'll hear the dry signal (just the SN voice + sub oscillator - however one Klee2 gate crosstalks), then the wet signal.
in the middle i switch the sn voice to noise.

Very exciting. Not sure if you're starting to take count to get a rough idea of what your run will be but I'm in for 2 Resonator PCBs and 4 Panner/Fader PCBs. |

Please add me to the list, 2 each of the PS3100 & the Xpanfa.
The PS3100 sounds fantastic by the way.
Thank you |

okay, you guys want me to start a list for advance orders? i did not plan this for now, since i will have to pay for the TH SCM PCBs first. so it will take a while until i can order the resonators/panner pcbs. woud mid-march for delivery be okay with you all?
however, i start the list on monday and will calculate the price for the panner PCB... _________________

Fonik,
Do you have a general range for the x-pan/fader price? Probably under $10US, yeah?
Depending on price, I'd like 4 to 6 Pan/Fader PCBs. |

I'd be interested in boards for this as well. Looks and sounds like great project!
Thanks |

i start a list for advance orders by now. everyone interested should tell me the quantity he definetely wants. that would be very helpful. don't hesitate to contact me via PM, email or by posting in this thread (even if you already did it).
PRICING:
(under the assumption of minimum advance orders for 50 PCB each to make the manufacturing happen):
PS3100 PCB 13.-USD/10.-EUR
X-Panner PCB 10.-USD/7.50EUR
+ packaging & postage
7.-USD worldwide
2.50 EUR europe
2.- EUR deutschland
PCBs should be available mid-march, i guess. _________________
