SoundLab is Awesome Subject description: See Subject |

| Roland's synthesis tutorial is hands down the best reference for the Nord G2. Period. It also serves as an outstanding resource and workbook for general synthesis. All the concepts covered in SoundLab can easily be applied to Max, Reaktor, or whatever you use. I ordered SoundLab because I was having trouble with Logic modules and needed to see some practical applications. What I got was an all-encompassing roller-coaster ride through every aspect of modular synthesis. If you love your G2 but feel as though you're not getting everything out of the editor, you will definitely benefit from SoundLab. It's like taking a comprehensive course in the G2. It's amazing. |

Dear Roland, do you have an excerpt of the version when it comes as a hardcopy as PDF? I'm a typography fan and I wonder whether it's "worth" buying the printed version as opposed to the ebook one. Or are there other differences?
Thanks, _________________ Cheers,

| As an owner of the first Soundlab for G2, I'd say having it in computer format is a very good bonus. The links to audio clips, patches, video, and other things makes the tutorial much more effective than had it been in hardcopy only. |

Effectiveness yes, but isn't part of the learning deal reconstructing the work with your own hands? It will surely take longer to reproduce all the patches, but I'd expect that I learn better if i do... hmm... or not. _________________ Cheers,

Roland, thanks for sending the tutorial in such a short amount of time. I started working through it last night with my G2X attached. The idea of an electronic book with embedded patches is brilliant! _________________ VIRB site |

Because of the fact that the newsletter of my blog wasn't working for attachments, I have created on Facebook the SoundLab Roland Kuit page.
If you join in, we can talk about issues of SL 1. |

Thank you for your interest. You got mail. The download link. I hope, except composition techniques, you will find other interesting stuff too. Think modular, implement different techniques from other chapters to completely new ones. |

B.t.w. I have re-hyperlinked a lot in chapter History. So for SoundLab I owners who want the free update, mail me at my home adress, see blog. |
How do you get the PCH files into the PDFs?
Do you just paste a link and a jpg into the PDF? _________________ Free Tibet. Release the Panchen Lama from prison. Let the Dalai Lama return to his home. |

After reading this thread, I got interested in Soundlab again.
I had originally downloaded it on my Windows laptop. After switching to a Mac, the PC hasn't been used in almost a year. Now the system is having problems booting.
I asked Roland if it were possible to download a copy of SL-1, since my only copy is now on a laptop which isn't working.
He quickly obliged.
SL-1 is now on all my computers (including my work systems ), thanks to Dropbox.
Big Thanks Roland!!
