Is that group Dutch??
I thought the name of the song was "Hocus Pocus", and the group was Focus |
Certainly! Although way before my time, Focus was a Dutch band back in the day before Jan Akkerman (guitar) and Thijs van Leer (flute, organ & yodel-voice) lost their balls, ehm, musically speaking
'Live at the rainbow' is the must-have live Focus recording imho, including the live version of hocus pocus with amazing vocal performance of Thijs van Leer. _________________ Spinning at ~0.0000115740740741 Hz |

Nah, I meant this one: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vTB0NZnDnGA
Although, Focus, yeah!
Jan Akkerman, Thijs van Leer, Ceryl Havermans en van der Linden (lost his first name, whicfh isn't Rik, BTW)
The girls are called K3 and are Belgian, but very popular in The Netherlands.

Hmmm, I tend to disagree. Yes, he still is an exceptional guitar player, but his music - at least what I have seen and heard - is a bit uninspired imho.
BTW, I think it is Pierre vd Linden _________________ Spinning at ~0.0000115740740741 Hz |

Sorry to disappoint you on the issue of the Netherlands and drugs, but I just noticed a newspaper article in 'de volkskrant' this morning that had statistics on European drug usage. Consumption of 'soft drugs' in Netherlands is about low-average in comparison to other european countries but quite a bit lower than 'suppressive' countries such as France and the US. Personally, I never felt the urge to use any drugs, even though some are legal here. _________________ Spinning at ~0.0000115740740741 Hz |

Ah , well, close, it's in immunology. Anyway, it was a nice opportunity to spill some trivia on Dutch drugs consumption .
BTW, unfortunately not too many links in my professional life to music, apart from the radios in the labs. _________________ Spinning at ~0.0000115740740741 Hz |
