Hey ppl.

Out of boredom and the fact that 10 turn potentiometers cost around 30-40 USD around here, I desided to make my own.. All parts are from a tape player.. I used a snail gaering, and for fun I wacked the tape dial on it as well.. This is just a prototype, and I think I'm going to work more on it, to make it something smaller and more usefull.. Anyways here's a vid :http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gbPTRsjf9O0

The "name" for this particular prototype would be "10 K ohm 30 turn and dial" or something along those lines Very Happy

Anyways collaboration would be great!!

That's amazing Very Happy
I thought you made the pot aswell out of tape, but just to use cogs to the pot is a brilliant idea. I've seen it before on casper electronics, but not as nice as your build.

here it is:

Thank you very much Pehr. I've actually seen that pic before, but I didn't notice the geared pot for some reason. I actually thought of making the pot from some casette tape aswell, but desided against it.. Would have been an accomplishment just to make that work as a proper pot! Could try it for fun thou.
