Hi All. New Andromeda owner and I was recommended this forum from a friend. My studio gets kinda cold at night... not cold enough for condensation, but cold enough to slightly see my breath at times. Water doesn't freeze so I'm thinking it's around 43 or so degrees.

Should I worry about keeping my andromeda in there? Maybe I should always keep it turned on so the circuits stay warm?

Congratulations on your purchase!

I would not leave my Andromeda in a cold environment, especially one with humidity and so on. I actually have my Voyager packed in its original carton in a relatively cold room in my studio in another city and I am kinda worried. Confused

I think the problem is the stretching and traction of the IC-pins on the soldering points, when the device warming up and cooling down.
That means more physical stress for the soldering points.
...and possibly former breakdown of the IC soldering points... (the same as TV electronics,...)
Keep in a cool place is not so much the problem, but warm up and cool down in a cool place yet.
