i allways say, i have no churches but all gods. but will that say im religious? i dont know.
the only thing i know is that in art i loose/reflect myself in something. what u call it i dont care. if u dont loose urself its earth and self reflecting or ego boosting imhup. creativity can be used positive or negative. but the lack to be creative is also negative and is negative creativty positve? we need destructuction to build new things , so, how who cares if theres a god, its all a mess. so random is god? or 0 and 1s?

I do find the "pushing black holes" concept quite amusing!

Look at things in wonder and awe, and then start asking questions. The answers may be incredible, they may even challenge you on a personal level, but if you are in search for the truth you will eventually arrive at it.

Not very dissimilar to a spiritual path imo.

I just can't stay away from these kinds of threads can I? Laughing

This is Pat Robertson. Someone in his studio put on some electro. This is Pat's response. Anti-electro religious?

I'm currently reading a book written by the fourteenth Dalai Lama, titled "The Universe in a Single Atom". In essence, it speaks to the differences, and more importantly similarities, of science and spirituality. I'll have to report any suggestions I gleam once I've finished reading through it.

IMO There is only one similarity between science and spirituality. They are both geared towards dealing with big questions.
One does so by searching for the truth and the other is based in the process of obscuring the truth with lies.

You know what? The fact that this thread continues wandering it's way along in time seemingly eternally causes me to reflect on our own eternal nature. Ahhh, an eternity to explore music, how nice!

I think the cosmos has an eternal nature, but we, both as individuals and as a species are extremely finite.

Andy, when we meet in the afterlife and jam together, you'll be glad you were wrong about that! Smile

If the cosmos is equivalent to the universe that we inhabit, I'm not so sure about this - proton decay etc. This is one of the foundations for religion: if there is no creator, why is there stuff?

One problem with a religion such as christianity, is that it takes this creator and assumes that it is capable of feeling love, which is a exclusively human or animal concept.

Well of course 1 = 2!

1 / 0 = infinity

2 / 0 = infinity

therefore 1 = 2 Laughing

Serious maths point: that's why your school maths teacher would never let you put infinity in an equation!

If there is no Creator, all the creativity must lie hidden in mere matter.

It's today's most popular fallacy that the latter should be more satisfying an explanation than the former.
