I think it's time to start and make a layout now.

30 PCBs will not make me earn any money, but it will at least prevent me from loosing a lot of money. Smile

I think I'll take that step of confidence. (Normally I "only" have to trust that the design is good enough to bring me more orders, once word goes around after the first builders have finished theirs. But in that case, I also depend on Mn3005 supply not drying up.)

JH.

We're getting closer. Seriously, this would probably be one of the most interesting JH modules this far. I'm really hoping this project would happen!

Btw, just finished my Living VCOs...mmmm...babble...very tasty!!

If I go in such a direction, it'd probably be something like that:

2 (or more ) sockets for MN3005's
A clock generator with expo and 1/x function
A tracking VCF that can be bypassed
A resonance loop with vactrol and / or geramnium diode limiting
A compander like the Arp Quadra Phaser, adapted to BBDs as I did in the Storm Tide.

can't go wrong,u will sell them easy imo..

would be cool if you can drive those delays at veery small times,

i would like to recreate something like this one in HW (this plug sounds amazing):

For small times, you better go for the Son Of Stormtide Flanger than the MN3005-based delay.

I had previously said "1 for me" but I might be going to two now that the project is kicking off.

How many 3005 will a board contain, two?

Well, I started this thread by suggesting a BBD delay so it would be rude of me not to buy at least two pcbs! Very Happy Very Happy

I'm not sure if there are recommendations about it in the forum rules, but perhaps the best way of showing/collecting interest for future PCBs would be through a poll?

Not my intention to sound grumpy here, but without all distracting "I want one!" and "Boards arrived!" posts (not even mentioning "PM sent!"), these e-m threads can be surprisingly good as reference material long afterwards, when building & fixing our beloved electronic stuff. Smile

Have a nice weekend with your soldering irons! Wink

Good news JH. Not to clutter (Mr is right...), but I would be in for a couple of boards. I picked up some MN3005's to experiment with other schematics, but will save them for your PCB's when ready.

For those looking, Small Bear Electronics still has them listed as stocked for $25.00 a pop. Not cheap, but a trustworthy source. No affiliation, just trying to help and make up for my "I want PCB's too" bit Smile

I will buy two.

Absolutely. No questions asked. The day I know that they are out.

Don't even talk about Maplin. That place is a joke. And not even a funny one. Surprisingly, the MN3005s weren't from there Smile They don't do so much as a TL072.
