I'm very new at this whole electronic music thing and I would like some help. I tried finale print music and i like it because i am not a very good musician and it allows me to tweak the music through the score. I hate sequencers where you have to tweak the music with the piano role thing where you adjust the length of the bars. Is there any good sequencer software like Kontakt with lots of FX features as well as the ability to write in music on a score?

Hi, Sena, welcome

Sonar is a pretty rich sequencer program that allows editing of MIDI notes with a score. My wife uses Finale because Sonar's score feature isn't quite powerfull enough. She's a band teacher and when she does arrangements, the Finale parts printer is a life saver. But for just adjusting the pitches and durations of notes, Sonar's score editor is fine.

I like it for one other reason. Twisted Evil One time I was doing a concerto with electronic sounds as a "background" for a violin player. He was a bit of a snob. I told him to listen carefull to the sound track and improvise. He said something like, "Oh, I wouldn't call this a concerto if it is just improvised." I of course, played an inprovised violin part on my keyboard and printed a score for him to play. Naturally, I played stuff on the keyboard that was very difficult if not impossible for any violinists to play. I gave him the chart and said, if it was too difficult, I would accept whatever approximation he could accomplish. He "got it" and did a great improv. Too bad I can't find a recording... Crying or Very sad
