#53 from September 17, 2010

Used the Neuron and PEK much more than usual. Used the Eigenharp less than usual. Quite a few mood changes.

Show 54, 1 Oct 2010

A quite different approach. I did not synchro clock the whole studio. Many distinct vignettes resulted as I switched between the different related slightly different tempos and timbres.

This used:

Omnisphere (standalone and with the Eigenharp)
Camel Audio Alchemy
Arturia 2600V
Eigenharp Alpha
G2 Engine (one of the sequences)
Akai EWI (various soloing)
Moog Voyager (low drones)
DSI Poly Evolver Keyboard
Hartmann Neuron
Nord Lead 1
Roland JV1080
EMU Morpheus
DP7 (with UVI Workstation and Arturia 2600V)
Macbeth M5N, various Frac modular, AM3030 VCOs and a Baby10 and Klee
Metasonix S-1000 Wretch Machine
Akai S-6000 and Roland P-55 as pianos
Various ambient backgrounds

My wife originally did that recitation for the Jorvik Viking Festival a few years back. I came across it tonight whilst looking around and it actually fit really well in the section I wanted to put it in.

I really liked this. I was in a pretty sour mood this week and this was rewarding for me to do. It almost always works that stress brings out the best in my music.

Show 55 - Oct 15 2010

Weather's crap, I feel like crap, and the playing made me feel better. Worked up a sweat playing this time.

Show 56, Nov 19 2010

Different approach in the studio. Multiple vignettes, instead of a common theme. This means I can take some of it for edited down versions. Smile

It used most everything at least once. Some of the vignettes are really good I think.

Smile

With Geoff on 'cello. I played the rest. This was another go at Rainmaker, different yet again.

Enjoy.

oh, nice shot. You got me as I had just got up from a major 24 hour lower GI episode - I won't give more details than that. I'm still not completely over it.

January 7, 2011

A lovely show, if I do say so myself. There's a theme in here I wanted to use again. Lots of ambience, lots of EWI, and rumbly bits.

Enjoy.

Show 59 - 21 January 2011

Many variations of the same idea, this isn't much like anything I've played for music before. Many Epherera features. I think some vignettes from this are good enough to put into an Ephemera album. Well, maybe one vignette from this. But I am thinking about that.

Anyway, enjoy it. I enjoyed playing it.

#60 - Stress Release

Seriously stressful couple of weeks. And coming into the show was stressful too. I needed to play this.

61 - More. 18 Feb 2011.

Doing Stuff. This is an old theme, it was in my head. It turned out pretty mellow.

number 63 went out 18 Mar 2011

Now that was very different. I was quite fond of the melodies.

Show 64. 1 April 2011 - lots of serendipity along with Geoff on 'cello.

I thought this went by very fast. Lots and lots of different vignettes.
