You bet! I sampled Dorothy from the Wizard of Oz this afternoon, and freaked out the kids!!
It could do with a few more options like setting markers and triggers for various points on the waveform, and perhaps some sample memory, but it's a lot of fun already- and for 59p (about one US dollar!) _________________ ACHTUNG!

Thsi looks very interesting. I have used CrusherX on my PC which is a fine VST for granular experimentation but the application looks good for my iTouch. Hmm, will it work for iTouch minus the record facility?? Hmmm The name is interesting as it is probably named after the one of the fathers of Granular synthesis, Curtis Roads

Jan, great piece. What do you use as the input for the Curtis program? I haven't had as good results just speaking or singing into it. _________________ --Howard

Thanks guys, glad you like it.
For input I just mumble and whistle into it ... but ... I find it to be working well when having some different vowels ... and some sharp s, t, k sounds are nice too. But I try to keep some silence between the sounds, as that makes it easier to explore them. Pitch doesn't matter too much, unless you also want to play it like a mini sequence (by dragging from beginning to end over the entire sample). _________________ Jan

Nice work that Blue, makes me feel quite uneasy, that bass sweep makes me feel quite ill. good stuff. _________________ iP (Ross)

Oh wow what a piece Jan! Really f**king creepy!!
It's rather humbling to know that all you really need for wild experimentation, these days, is sitting right there in one's own pocket! _________________ ACHTUNG!

It looks like Heavy lets you import samples via wi-fi, which might be better than trying to get some sort of mic attachment for the touch _________________ Jez

I have Heavy on iTouch and have imported a few samples, it is easy enough once you have done it a couple of times. _________________ Muied Lumens Sub Forum

I just remembered a problem I have had with this app - it never seems to load the entire sample, just a certain fraction of it, no matter the length of the sample... _________________ Muied Lumens Sub Forum

Maybe it can only handle mono samples? _________________ Jan

on the SA site it says
Currently short 44.1kHz 16-bit WAV files are supported. Curtis will use the first four seconds of longer files. _________________ Jez
