So, I have this Tellatuby toy that says “Ohhhhmmmpaaa!!!” and then dances around a little bit to preplayed music (fluits and stuff) and meows occasionally. I’ve been saving this as a circuit bending project for my noise band. Today I cracked it open and laid it out on my bending station, flicked the switch on and….IT FLOPPED LIKE A FISH OUT OF WATER ALL OVER MY TABLE!!! It knocked damn near everything off (luckily my soldering iron was off at the time). Oh, that was hilarious.

I’m going to have to find a way to bypass the movement mechanism (maybe just snip the wires) before proceeding. Any ideas?

I'm not sure but I think some furby's have a tilt mechanism.. So if they fall over they try to get back up..

Oh and if you have 2 furby's try putting a bent one infront of an unbent one.. The unbent one should start imitating the bent one after awhile Very Happy

Yeah just unsolder the wires to the motor Rolling Eyes

Alternately, you can try informing it that its career in children's edutainment has been over for the better part of a decade, that the "rave-culture" in which it had an iconic status is a thing of the past, that no one cares about tinky-winkies sexual preference anymore.
This may be enough to get it to stop struggling.

Well, I did use a rag with cloroform but that didn't seem to effect it much so I'll try your route next. Laughing
