Fake signups...

I might thave gone too easy on my medication, but hey.. you guys and gals.. check out the memberlist. Sort it so the newest signups are shown at the top of the list. OK... do you see something interesting?

OK... and their websites links go to places like:
http://www.chopoy.com/Top/Jewelry/Fine_Art/

It seems like there is bot doing this. Am I wrong? If you look down the list.. you will see more of the same kind.

I had noticed that too but I had not said anything because I thought it was an harmless/stupid behaviour. I do not really understand why someone does anything like that. Anyone can explain it?

The fake signups are now slayed...

There is a system. New signups with no posts, but with an URL can be bot signups. The username often consists of three letters and then 3 numbers... but... not always.

Hmmmm. This tread is a bit old. We did lock a few accounts and I installed some software that makes it a little more difficult for software bots to register. I think the latter may have done some good.
