Subject description: Sample Rate or Control Rate?
Reply with quote  Mark this post and the followings unread

I was trying to generate the sine/cosine of an audio signal, so I used the sin/cos module.

The signal sounded heavily aliased - I realised it was because this module deals in events, so its sample rate is very low compared to an audio one.

I then tried the same with an Audio Table loaded with a single cycle of a sine wave (1Hz), but it still gives the same aliased sound.

Is there a way around this?

An audio table loaded with a sine wave will not alias unless the frequency is very high. If there's low-freqency aliasing going on, there's something else misbehaving.

Sorry, I opened the file up again and realised I had Audio to Event convertors on the inputs to the macro (a legacy from when I tried it with the Sin/Cos module).

I'm an idiot sometimes. It works fine now.
