Yes, but they take a lot more chewing.

Still nice contrast in textures (in the photo).

[Not my digicam]

Some images from the second Red Bull Air Race this year in Rovinj, Croatia, 12-13th April ...

I hoped to make some field recordings during the takeoff/landing/training at the Vrsar airport nearby (where there was no crowd around) but the crappy chinese recorder failed to access the crappy chinese flash card most of the time Confused

Welcome home!

Please post more pics here, or somewhere. That bull is amazing. Do you know how old that is? My guess is probably at least 1500 BCE. Proof that art transcends time, even if it won't last forever.

Late Palace Period, dates remain uncertain, but 1500 BC is a good guess.[/quote]

My mom likes them too,. which is where I got this one from a couple years ago and it has been doing great. This is the first year it's flowering, which
looks beautiful but also means that part will die off afterwards Crying or Very sad . But it has already spread out a lot, so it will live on Very Happy

Wow that's a cool looking bird! Looks really out of place in the city, although I suppose it catches stuff a bit higher up in the sky normally.

Maybe it just took a little break.

Anyway, nice catch. Smile

Must be a permanent resident. Well past the migration peak. Maybe keeping an eye on the bird feeders. Cool

Yeah, that ice9 is nasty stuff as I recall. Shocked

This week is a little better, but still not enough for cross-country skiing.
