DSI Mono Evolver Keyboard, polyphonic MIDI?

Hi guys,
I want to sell my DSI desktop evolver and swap it for the mono keyboard version. Will the MIDI on that thing be polyphonic? Or is the fact that it's a monosynth will somehow prevent it from sending out polyphonic MIDI data like on older retrofitted analog monosynths?

Stupid question I know, just want to make sure.

That was a good question. It's not intuitively obvious.

Page 24 in the mono evolved keyboard manual says the keyboard midi out can be set to "poly, mono, unison1, unison2" also the stacking output can be set to up to 20 voices.

Not the mono evolver keyboard. I do have a poly evolver keyboard and its midi out can handle many more than 4 voices.

Well being a polysynth, it would naturally. But does the mono version handle poly midi?

I'd try sending an email to dave smith instruments - they're usually nice fellows and answer questions you send them.

My own intution says that it ought to be polyphonic midi - given the nature of MIDI (note on/note off), I think it would be harder not to support polyphony, especially since they make other models where the synth engine is polyphonic, and also they have the poly chain feature that enables you to hook up other Evolvers for polyphony.

The "poly" evolver is a 4 voice synthesizer. The keyboard outputs a polyphonic stream of midi notes, meaning I can play complex chords and other more polyphonic sound sources can play the stream of notes.
