Subject description: Another Electro-Music Klee is completed..almost.

My electro-music Klee came to life last night!
I may well be one of the last to finish from the first run of boards (well, for that matter it's not packaged or have any knobs yet...) but it's alive and working fine after some minor troubleshooting. Laughing

In spite of ample warnings, and thinking hard about it I managed to connect all the gate buss switches upside down Embarassed and a couple other switches besides.

I built using the Bridechamber panel - so I missed out on some of the great customized looks many of you have shown here, but designing the panel was the biggest obstacle I was facing to build the thing. It is pretty, though Smile

Great job Scott - outstanding project. Andrew - real nice layout. Bill - I appreciate the complete parts kits (that really made the stuffing the boards EASY).

I'll get some completed pics up when I get it knobbed-up, the wires dressed and packaged right - but here's some baby pictures...it's just a few hours old...

Now I gotta figure out how to use it.

Nice work bruce.

You are certainly not the last to complete your build from the first run of boards - I haven't even started mine yet!

I agree that designing the front panel is the most difficult part of the build process. Those Bridechamber panels do look good though. If I didn't want to add some custom functionality I would probably go with one of those myself.

Cheers,
Adam-V

I'm glad i made my own panel. I don't blame anybody for skipping that step though. What's really neat about the Klee is that nobody seems to really use it the same way, so learning to use it is fun for all.

Do send some recordings though. Wink

Ohhhh,.....
Isn't she pretty?!
Looks like her father?
Bet she's been keeping you up late at night.
Enjoy these days while you can! Once she starts walking around you'll be a nervous wreck!! Laughing

Congrats, RF!!

I've got a Bridechamber panel which will become my second Klee. It'll be (by far) the prettiest thing in my modular.

Scott Deyo/Bridechamber and Bill Manganaro/sMs Audio rule for making this a much less painful build project.

Cheerios,
Scott

Nice work! How do you like the MFOS seq now? Ever since I built my Klee I've been thinking about dumping the MFOS (not built yet) for another Klee.

I built a desktop case for it. I have a few items to take care of on it yet but it's considerably easier to play when it's underbelly isn't flopping around on the desk Smile

Thanks kosta and all - I'm happy how it turned out.

Right now it's still on the 'outboard' power - a homebrew 7812 and 7912 supply I use on my bench..
I ordered a bi-polar power supply from here - http://www.groveaudio.com/onlinestore/power_supplies.aspx
discussed here http://electro-music.com/forum/viewtopic.php?highlight=power+supply&t=36737 although I've heard nothing since I ordered online last week, and the payment on Paypal is still pending.... So I may just build another simple 7812/7912 supply to fit inside.

Dead sexy is the word!! Get in mah belly!! Laughing

That's the kind of thing I was thinking on doing with my Bridechamber panel.

So, you can have my case to me, by, oh say next weekend? Laughing

Seriously, I love the way you have it angled like that, too. I may just have to pattern mine off of that design. Very sweet indeed.
