Hi all,

Question from a NM classic newbie, just starting to build stuff from scratch. So I started to fiddle around with the sequencers and tried to create random notes. This looked easy in my brain but didn't turn out quite so easy in the NM. I would like to have an event sequencer determine a gate pattern and per gate have a random note sound. This note, of course, should not change pitch while the note is sounding. In addition I would also like to have the random notes within a defined scale and range, and that's where I didn't get it. I'd be glad if someone could help me out. Later I would also like to have a method to create random clocked gates instead of a pattern in the event sequencer to trigger an envelope.

Thanks for any help!
Philip

Did you try the key quantizer from the Ctrl tab ?

When you, later, want randomly clocked notes would the time intervals have to be quantized ?

Jan.

Hey, the KeyQuant module was exactly what I needed! Thanks! After familiarizing myself a bit more with all the modules I also figured out ways to create the random clocked gates etc. I was looking for.

Thanks,
Philip
