Subject description: I need a data sheet for this
Reply with quote  Mark this post and the followings unread

It has eight pins, and came out of one of my broken amps. The first line is "45580," second is "JRC," and third is "5027A." If it makes it any easier the most luck that I got was from the two lines put together as JRC 45580.

I can't find a data sheet. I only found places to buy parts that are discontinued. I know this part amplifies but I need to know how to wire it. Your help would be greatly appreciated.

Almost certainly a JRC4558 dual operational amplifier. Pin out is compatible with any dual op-amp e.g. 1458, LM358, TL072 etc.

It's a pretty standard old bipolar transistor chip that is similar to a dual 741. However, the JRC version is prized among DIY guitar pedal builders as the chip used in the legendary original Ibanez "Tube Screamer" distortion pedal.
