Two bits of advice, FWIW:

I like to print out a copy of my pad layout on paper once the design is done. I then place all my parts on the paper "PCB" and see how they fit. It's great for checking pin spacing on surface mount parts, and also for checking clearance on parts that are close together. Oh, and for checking the silkscreen, too!

As for PCB manufacturing, I recommend Gold Phoenix PCB. I didn't see what board house you used, but Gold Phoenix has always worked well for me. You can get 155 square inches of 2-sided, masked, silkscreened board for $100. Not too shabby!

Jeff-o you are correct. Printing out the design on paper is essential. The first run I felt rushed to be honest. The second run went much better and the design is much better. The board is partly stuffed and I really wish I had a re-flow oven available as I need to hand solder SMD components. UGG. But I should have some more free time in the next few weeks to dedicate just to stuffing and testing the board.
