Subject description: "this" - midi channel selector not working

heya. does anyone use the control send module?

its working great when one slots' patch is sending cc's to itself via "slotX" midi channel out options, but it says in the manual that the "this" option should shortcut to the same slots' midi channel, but in my experience, the slot on say ch5, sending to "this" doesnt show any results.

any ideas - or experiences here?

thanks

"this" does send on the channel associated with the slot the module is in, however it sends to the physical midi port only and does not use the internal MIDI routing. To let a patch send MIDI to itself you can use the SlotA .. SlotD channels. Unfortunately this means that the patch can not easily be moved to another slot. This seems to be by design, and not a bug.

ah b hell, thanks for the response, as ever - very prompt n helpful.

ok as i suspected, just didnt have any test tools to check my outputs.

ive got a workaround, : - put 4 no. same sendcc modules but each set to A,B,C,D respectively in the patch, using the same inputs and therefore it sends to all slots despite which slot u want to load it to, it'll defo receive it. as long as there arent any other patches on other slots that ned to be left untouched, ie shouldnt have the same cc# associated.

its going well.

Laughing that would make a mess of my usual unstructured routing.

What do sometimes when I loose track is that I color code the MIDI senders / receivers in one color and the audio senders / receivers in another ... that'll allow me to quickly find the modules involved.
